Looking at photographs and through albums has always been an activity I enjoy and do often, because of the memories and connection they provide. I believe photographs that we can look at, touch and hold are so important, not only to future generations, but to us as well. It is my goal to bring you timeless, beautiful and fun images that will show the connection you have.

When you hire me for a session, we will first start with a consultation to plan your session. We will discuss locations, clothing, time of day (you really do want the best light), your vision, my vision, how to show up prepared, the contract and invoice, and what you will get with your session fee. The photo session itself will be casual
When you hire me for a session, we will first start with a consultation to plan your session. We will discuss locations, clothing, time of day (you really do want the best light), your vision, my vision, how to show up prepared, the contract and invoice, and what you will get with your session fee. The photo session itself will be casual and fun, with a focus on YOU (and your family) and creating those memories and images you want.
For family sessions, we will play games, interact, snuggle and laugh (a lot). Your session will be a blend of traditional posing and lifestyle images to get a variety of images showing your connection, love and interaction with each other.
High school senior and fitness sessions are posed and "unposed" (by unposed, I am still directing you with what to do, but it looks more natural, as if I caught you with my camera in a real life moment).
After your session, you will receive an email with a link to your gallery of images within 2 weeks. Then we will chat and discuss what images your would like printed and you will receive those prints within 2-3 weeks.
It is a stress-free, fun and memorable experience. Even those who don't like getting their pictures taken always say they enjoyed the session and actually look forward to the next.

Hello! My name is Jen Chesnut and I love creating moments in time, whether with my own family and friends or through my camera for you! My degree is in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology, and they are my passion, along with photography. My father giving me my first Nikon camera in my preteens and everyone (including the cat) was subject to my posing and a camera in their face. I love the creativity a camera gives me, while using the personality of my subjects, the light and our surroundings to truly create timeless images. It is my goal to provide you with fun and beautiful images that you will proudly display on your wall and that bring a smile to your face each time you see them and recall that day.
